  • 2 1/2 cups Bisquick (low-fat)
  • 2/3 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons vegan butter

    Cinnamon Mixture
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or butterscotch extract

  • Cuisine: Cooking time: 8-11 mins Serving: 6-7 people

    These are not the typical soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls but a more dense and hearty biscuit and are AMAZING!!  I make these because they are quick and easy compared to regular cinnamon rolls and you don’t have to wait for them to rise.  Sometimes I like a hearty sweet biscuit that is more filling and can be eaten on its own for breakfast or a nice snack or dessert.  My family gobbles these down within minutes of them being glazed while they are still hot and oh boy they are good!  If I were to make these before the family got home for dinner they were be half gone so I always wait until everyone is home to share, they are that darn scrumptious!

    cinnamon Biscuts

    Glazed Cinnamon Biscuits
    Makes: 12-14 Biscuits

    2 1/2 cups Bisquick (low-fat)
    2/3 cups soy or rice milk
    3 Tablespoons sugar
    2 Tablespoons vegan butter softened at room temp (you could skip this and just shoot a short spray of cooking spray for the sugar to stick to and they will be even lower fat)

    Cinnamon Mixture:
    3 Tablespoons sugar
    2 teaspoons cinnamon

    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 tablespoon milk
    Optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or butterscotch extract

    Preheat the oven to425° F.

    Mix the 3 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon together and set aside.

    Mix the Bisquick, milk, and 3 tablespoons of sugar together in a large bowl until you have a ball.  Knead about 8-10 times on a floured surface until it is pliable and soft.  Roll out on the counter (clean it first for hells sake 😉 with a little Bisquick so it does not stick.  Roll into a long triangle until it is about 1/4 inch thick.

    Spread the softened vegan butter on the triangle of dough.  Sprinkle the Cinnamon sugar mixture onto the butter.  Roll the dough long ways and cut with a bread knife or use dental floss  into 1 inch slices.

    Place the biscuits close together in a greased 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan. Bake them until they’re golden brown, about 8-11 minutes(over baking will dry them out and require more topping to moisten!).

    While the biscuits are cooking mix together the glaze by mixing all the ingredients together, set aside until the biscuits are cooled.

    Once the biscuits are done let them cool to the touch but not longer. Spread the glaze on top and eat them warm. ENJOY!

      Veggie Girl, I love these Cinnamon Rolls, I’ve made them twice for my family now. They are quickly becoming a sunday classic for us. I even like them better then the ones i get in the store plus i know all the ingredients that i am putting into it.

      Since im not a bigger sugar glaze fan, i like to eat mine plain, they are sweet and cinnomanie enough for me without over kill.
