Daily Reflections:

My breakfast was a different spin on the oatmeal I already make.  I decided to have raspberries, blueberries and cranberries in it along with chopped pecans.  It was really good.

For snack the pear was ripened perfectly and was good with the pretzels for that crunchy salty thing we all crave.

The Broccoli Bisque I made for dinner is a really good soup from Dr. McDougall’s book called  “The McDougall Program for Women“.  He promotes a low fat plant based vegan diet that I aspire to but fail miserable at sometimes.  I rotate around between his recipes, the recipes of other doctors programs I like  and some of mine to at least keep it as healthy as I can while feeding a very picky, hungry family.  Most everyone liked a soup but I was the only one to like the squash and onions and NONE of us liked the braised cucumbers YUCK.  They sounded good when I heard of them but cooked cucumbers is just weird!  The Bruschetta was very tasty and everyone liked it too.

Overall the day was pretty good although I do feel like the regular vegenaise is a little too fatty for me now that I have had the low fat kind and I feel a little greasy after eating it now when I did not before.
